My brother is getting married this year (YAY!!!)! I never thought I'd see the day. (kidding, kind of)
They're having a rustic, barn wedding and for centerpieces they are wanting doily's. So, the sister steps in and says "I can do that!" 33 is the number. 4 are done! I have no idea what thread I am using. My Grandmother gave me a huge thing of it that she had. Numbers 1, 3 and 4 are done with hook B/1-2.25MM and number 2 is done with F/5-3.75MM
First off we have a pretty simple Easy Crochet Doily. I did one more round than it called for to make it more the size I needed (around 12-14")
Second we have another Easy Crochet Doily #2. I did an extra round of #8 &9 to make it a little bigger. It's still on the small size of what I'm needing (9.5" apprx) but it will work.
Thirdly we have a "small" Flower Doily. I really changed this pattern to make it the size I needed. The pattern makes it around 5" but I added to it until it was the size I needed (12-14"). It worked up pretty fast.
And fourthly we have my first doily that I had ever made. I love this pattern. I got the pattern out of a South Maid doily crochet book that my Grandmother had. It took me a while to find the pattern online. Here is a link to it (it's crocheted in color here, which I also like).
I'm hoping to get a few more made up in the next few days.
